Notes

I prefer to use fresh fruit for this recipe and squeeze the juice rather than using store-bought juice.

Since they are made with real fruit juice, store leftover fruit gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They're fine to stay out at room temperature for a couple of hours, but they might become a bit softer. For the best texture, I recommend to keep them chilled in the fridge.

I use my silicone muffin pan here, but you can pick any gummy molds that you like. There are gummy bear molds on Amazon, as well as fruit shaped molds or even dinosaur molds.

For more health benefits, I recommend using grass-fed beef gelatin for this recipe. Grass-fed gelatin has a higher nutritional profile with higher amounts of collagen, protein, and certain vitamins and minerals.

Instructions

1. Begin by freshly squeezing orange juice.

Place a fine mesh strainer on top of a small saucepan and pour the juice through it to catch any pulp.

2. Add canned coconut milk, gelatin, and maple syrup to the orange juice. Whisk the gummy mixture together until well combined. Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring continuously. Be careful not to boil the mixture, as gelatin won't work properly if boiled.

4. Once the mixture is warmed and the gelatin is fully dissolved, remove from heat. Pour the mixture into silicone muffin tin cups or molds.

5. Place the molds in the freezer and let the gummy snacks set for about 20 minutes, or until firm. Once set, remove the gummy snacks from the molds and enjoy!
