Very easy recipe for a flavorful pan-seared tuna steak that takes just 5 minutes to cook. Lemon and parsley butter, and pepper crust are perfect with this fish.
1. In a small bowl, combine butter, lemon juice and parsley. Form a butter ball. 2. Wash tuna steaks and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt on all sides. Put black pepper on a small plate. Coat tuna sides with black pepper, gently pressing it in. 3. Heat oil in a thick-bottomed frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear tuna steaks for about 2 minutes per side (or until the desired doneness is reached), turn off the heat and add butter mixture.
4. Spoon melted butter over the steaks and serve immediately.

Today is the second time I will be cooking this! My whole family loves it, it is really tasty and succulent! I am serving with plain jacket potatoes and mixed vegetables. I will certainly cook this again and will recommend it. Thanks for the recipe!
Tuna is a very interesting saltwater species that is widely found all over the world. The fish mainly belongs to the Scombridae family and dwells in warm seas. However, consuming tuna fish is very helpful for our health. This is why we should eat the fish at least thrice a week.
I agree that fish is very good for our health. As for tuna, we may safely consume 3-4 servings of low-mercury tuna per week. Higher mercury tuna should be restricted to 1 serving per week. - Alena
We tried this recipe on small tuna steaks. Every single one was devoured. I had some concern coating the outside edge with black pepper since half the family avoids spice although we found it flavors very well with the lemon and the remainder of the tuna.
ThNk you for a great, easy recipe! I’m a novice at cooking fish (other than fish chowder!)
This recipe is delicious, and I have all ingredients on hand!
I'd never cooked tuna steaks before, so I was I little bit nervous. Followed the recipe exactly and they turned out excellent! Simple and healthy! My family enjoyed eating them. Can't wait to make them next week when my in-laws come.
