Basic Flaky Pie Crust
Perfect tender and flaky crust for your pie. Can be easily made in a blender or food processor.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 tablespoons butter (cold, cut into 1/2 inch cubes)
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons water (very cold)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Yield:
9-inch pie crust
Prep time:
10 minutes
Yield: 1 9-inch pie crust | Prep time: 10 minutes |

Instructions

1. In a food processor, place flour, sugar, salt and cubed butter. Add water and pulse to mix (just until the mixture begins to clump together).
2. Remove the dough and form into ball. Cover tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour (up to 2 days, or freeze).
