These flavorful pork chops are super easy to prepare on the stove top. They are sauteed until golden brown then simmered with onion, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, coriander and celery salt. You can thicken the cooking liquid and serve it as a gravy.
1. Wash pork chops and pat dry with paper towels. Rub dried sage on both sides of the chops, then season with salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat and saute pork chops on both sides until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
3. In a small bowl, combine chopped onion, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, coriander and celery salt.
4. Add mixture to the skillet, then pour the water. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes.
