Date paste is a great natural sugar substitute, expensive to buy, and super easy to make at home. It can be used in a variety of recipes instead of sugar, honey and maple syrup. This recipe is my life saver when on Whole30.
Ingredients
1 cup Medjool dates (pitted, packed)
1 cup water (slightly warm)
Yield: 1 cup | Prep time: 5 minutes |
Cook Mode - Prevent screen from going dark
Instructions
1. If your Medjool dates are dry, presoak them in warm water for about 20-30 minutes. 2. Combine dates and water in a blender (I used an immersion blender). Blend until smooth.
3. Transfer to a mason jar. Refrigerate for up to 2-3 months.
