The addition of blue cheese and homemade croutons make this steak especially delicious. It's a great way to get a really good meal even out of a less expensive cut of meat.
1. Rinse the meat with cold water and drain on paper towels. 2. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper on both sides. 3. Remove crusts from bread and cut into cubes.
4. Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the steaks in the hot skillet for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or to your desired degree of doneness.
5. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet heat 1/2 tablespoon oil and saute bread cubes until golden brown. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
6. In another skillet, combine butter and blue cheese. Heat over low heat until almost melted. (or you can put the butter and blue cheese in a microwave for about 15 secs)
7. Top the steaks with blue cheese mixture and croutons.
