Crispy, juicy oven roasted chicken wings coated in a spicy and tangy Buffalo sauce that packs so much flavor in every bite. The flavor of this homemade Buffalo sauce perfectly complements the juicy, succulent chicken, making for a truly perfect appetizer for game days, parties or any other occasion.
Traditionally, wings are served with celery sticks with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing. These sauces are low carb, allowing you to enjoy your wings guilt-free.
Easy recipe that tastes great, and is just right for keto diet or low-carb diet.
Ingredients
4 pounds chicken wings (1st and 2nd sections, aka party wings)
1 teaspoon baking powder (optional, but makes wings crispier)
Note: To store leftover low carb buffalo wings, put them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days. To warm them up, pop the wings in the oven or an air fryer basket to ensure they stay nice and crispy.
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400F (200C). Pat dry chicken wings with a paper towel. You need them to be dry for achieving crispy chicken wings. 2. Arrange wings on a baking sheet (I lined mine with parchment paper for easier cleanup). Sprinkle with little baking powder (for crispy skin), paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and salt.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until the desired amount of crispiness is achieved.
4. Meanwhile, prepare the buffalo wing sauce. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder; stir well.
5. Pour the sauce over the cooked wings.
6. Toss to coat, sprinkle with chopped scallions and serve. These wings are about medium heat, for those who love their hot wings extra spicy, you can also add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
