Marinated Seared Tuna Steaks
Tuna Steaks marinated in the mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, ginger, oregano, parsley and garlic, then pan seared for 2 minutes on each side. Very easy and tasty!

Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 6 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 6 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil (for marinade)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • pepper

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine lemon juice, soy sauce, olive oil, ginger, oregano, parsley and garlic. Stir well.

2. Place tuna in a plastic bag. Add the marinade, close tightly (removing excess air), and toss the bag around to coat tuna completely with the marinade.

3. Refrigerate for 1 1/2 hours, turning periodically.
4. Remove from the fridge and let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
5. Coat the sides of the steaks with black pepper.

6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tuna for 2 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.

One teaspoon is for the pan, to fry. The rest is in the marinade.
