I like to go to restaurants that serve warm bread and olive oil for dipping. But it's so easy to make the same oil at home. This simple and tasty extra virgin olive oil and herb dip recipe is the one I use. It's especially good with Italian or French crusty bread. Please, make sure you don't eat the entire loaf of bread dipping in this wonderful tasting oil.
Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil (better to use extra virgin)
1 clove garlic (minced)
8 Kalamata olives (finely chopped)
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon parsley
black pepper (ground, to taste)
salt (to taste)
Yield: 4 Servings | Prep time: 5 minutes |
Cook Mode - Prevent screen from going dark
Instructions
1. Pour olive oil into a bowl. Add minced garlic, thyme, oregano, parsley, basil, finely chopped olives and black pepper.
2. Stir together all the ingredients, season with salt (if necessary).
3. Serve with fresh crusty bread. Dip bread into oil to eat.
