A simple and delicious hot milk cake with a few ingredients you most likely have on hand already. The taste and texture makes it perfect for any occasion. I was so happy to finally get this recipe from my friend Katie, I can't get enough of this cake. You can use your favorite fruit for topping, or just cinnamon sugar like I did.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). 2. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar (using an electric mixer).
3. Add vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to the egg mixture.
4. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until hot and butter is melted.
5. Gradually add milk to the batter, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into 9-inch round cake pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Combine cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the top of the cake with the mixture.

My daughter Emma made it yesterday for the family, turned out great, thanks for sharing the recipe!

Although it was runny I decided to add more flour, still waiting for it to finish cooking! Im a 13 yr old that wants to start baking. I hope this turns out well. Thanks!
I made this cake with my kids last night and they didn’t almost everything and it turned out amazing. Not overly sweet, which I love. Thank you for sharing. I’ll keep this one for future cake baking celebrations.
Watching British Baking show while making this—turned out really well. The texture is so different, it’s like marshmallow-y and soft. I think it’s be really good stacked with like a blackberry and custard filling. Just to balance its sweet taste.
I was indoors and bored and wanted to bake a milk cake as I saw on a video, so I searched up easy milk cake recipes and trust me I clicked on this link as soon as I saw it. I added almonds and coconut. was absolutely delish 🤤♥️!
I just made this bcz I was looking to use up eggs and milk. My daughter doesn’t like milk, so I just told her it’s a vanilla cake. She loves it. I love the texture and the flavour. So happy I found this. I just used 1 1/3 sugar and only 5 tblspns butter. I wasn’t as meticulous with the mixing and blending and it still turned out great. Yay!!!
It took way longer to bake than the recipe said. It is in a 9 in. pan too. Maybe it should have gone into a larger pan to spread out more. I am still waiting for it to come out of the oven. I'm sure it will taste fine, but the baking time surprised me.
These were super easy and delicious. You're right, I had all those ingredients on hand. I had used my cake mold for something else and decided to use a Halloween Skull mold (Amazon cakelet mold). They came out in a great size for each person and super delicious. Thank you!!
I was looking for a quick and easy cake to make with the ingredients that I had in the kitchen. This cake turned out great and was very simple to make. Thanks for the great recipe!!
I’ve been baking this cake for years...I’ve made it with almond flavoring, lemon flavoring, I’ve used cocoa powder and made it chocolate...always comes out delicious!
The only way it could be easier is if you could buy it readymade in the grocery store!
So great! Here’s what I did a bit different... no cinnamon and sugar topping, but 1T of ground cardamom added to the dry ingredients plus 10 drops of orange oil to the milk/butter. Baked in a Bundt pan... delicious paired with some herbal tea! Thanks for the basic recipe...I will keep playing with additions based on what mood I’m in! Very moist!
Made chocolate pudding and wanted something simple to go with it, but no cookies in the house. Mixed this cake up in about the time it took the oven to heat to 350. It baked while we ate dinner (baked about 40 minutes). Deliciously simple and the perfect accompaniment to chocolate pudding with a dollop of sour cream on top. Wonderful texture! Thank you for sharing!!
